Well, our time in Texas has come to an end. In mid-June, my family and I will be moving to Georgia! While I’m sad to leave my friends in Texas, I’m excited about the adventures ahead. I’ll be staying at home to write full-time, an opportunity that I’ve been working toward for many, many years. That hopefully means more books from me, friends! Send good vibes for safe travels!
Want to spend the day with some amazing YA Authors? Clear Springs High School in League City, TX will be positively brimming with them on March 30, 2019. I will be there, too! I’ll be moderating panels with Laurie Halse Anderson, Angie Thomas, Scott Brown, Faith Erin Hicks, Matt Mendez, Gita Trelease, Sabina Khan, Lizzie Mason and SO MANY OTHERS! Registration is FREE. Come spend the day with fellow book nerds! Make sure you say hello!
SIDELINED has found a home! I will be working with the amazing Laura Schreiber at Disney/Hyperion. Look for this book of my heart in Fall 2020! How about another exclamation point!
You know what’s worse than writing a synopsis? Making a video about yourself! But here is my best attempt! For the 2018 Spirit of Texas Reading Program…
And a pretty snazzy book trailer for Until I Break (NOT made by me)…

As you may already know, I was slated to have a book releasing in October 2018. Yesterday I made the decision to pull my upcoming release back from my publisher for personal reasons. What this means is that the rights will be reverted back to me and I will have control over what happens to it once that has happened. So while I will no longer have an October '18 release (more than likely), this is not the last we will see of this book! Great things are in store. This decision was 100% MINE, and based on what's best for my writing career at this point. Thanks in advance for respecting that. I'll be sure to share more details as soon as I can! Can't wait to share this book with the world!
The Texas Library Association has named Until I Break a Spirit of Texas Reading List title for 2018! This is a huge honor and one that I'm proud to share with several other excellent YA authors. Thank you for this wonderful opportunity, librarians!
